If I wasn't missing a loved one I would never step into an SPCA again!! This afternoon at about 12:10 I made my weekly visit in search of my lost cat. My husband and I walked in the front door and 2 employees were standing at the front counter talking. I asked to look at the cats, one employee stated that the cages hadn't been cleaned yet so we would have to wait. I stated that it didn't matter as I was looking for a lost cat. "Oh, sure, she stated go ahead". Yup, the cages weren't cleaned, it was after lunch most of the cats had no food, 4 of them had no water! It stank of urine and feces. Only one cat had a hidy box all the rest had ratty old towels to try and hide under. Tell me someone please...what the hell do those people do all morning??? Why isn't cleaning and feeding the first job of the day??? Now please if you know of anyone who would like to have a darling kitten or one year old cat, there are 5 darlings that badly need a home. I know that they will be put down soon as they will most definately deemed "un-adoptable" they are young, they were trapped, and they are so scared you can smell the fear when you walk into the room. If I had 500 dollars and didn't have 8 cats already I would have brought all of them home. The kittens just need some TLC and I know they would be wonderful friends to any family. Now I know there are so many animals in need of homes I just had to write this here because it is all that I can do. I hate all of this so much. Thanks for this message board animal advocates, at least I can let loose some of my frustration here even though I don't feel any better about all of the suffering!
