Dear Mayor Jackson,

Thank you so much for taking this matter seriously. Unfortunately many of us involved in animal welfare are seriously concerned in the lack of animal welfare being displayed by the BC SPCA.

Personally I am the co-ordinator of a small spay and neuter society in Victoria which has been forced to start advocating for the animals as the BC SPCA has literally dropped the ball and punted it over the opposite goal in my opinion.

Your request for a municipal review will hopefully be the starting point of a thorough and complete review of the BC SPCA. This review must lay open the truth so that hopefully an organization can emerge who truly "speaks for those who cannot speak for themselves."

The present BC SPCA seems intent upon inflicting more pain and inevitable death to far too many of the animals and surely these same animals deserve much better.
