I resigned from the Victoria CAC because I would not support a Society that would chose to put a “band-aid” solution in place and kill healthy animals

The BC SPCA is NEVER going to learn because the current management and staff refuse to focus on the real issues that cause pet overpopulation – backyard breeding and lack of spay/neuter. I had the same frustration with the BC SPCA two years ago when they first introduced CAMP. I wrote letters, attended “presentations”, wrote more letters and in the end I resigned from the Victoria CAC because I would not support a society who would chose to put a “band-aid” solution in place and kill healthy animals. Nadine Gourkow’s attitude was exactly the same at her presentation in April 2003 as what was described at the most recent CAMP presentation in Victoria – she belittled the people who questioned her and launched into statistical crap to avoid a yes or no answer.
