"The two dogs in question were unsocialized and extremely fearful of humans. Although a month was spent attempting to rehabilitate the dogs, they did not improve..." This statement was made in May 2003 by Bob Busch, General Manager, Operations.
Were these two dogs Rottweilers? German Shepherds? Pittbulls? Mastiffs?
Actually they were a tiny little poodle cross and a cocker spaniel. Two terrified little dogs from a puppy mill. They didn't bite anyone, growl or show aggression in any way. They were killed using CAMP assessments to justify their deaths. They died frightened and alone.
Ms. Gourkow glorifies CAMP saying it is used to avoid placing dangerous dogs into the community through adoptions. I say CAMP is used in whatever way suits the fancy of the SPCA branch using it, illustrated only too well by the Kamloops and Delta SPCA's.
Ms Gourkow...go away.
