Bodies to the dump full of Euthanyl: killing more animals and adding poison to our water

I just found out that the SPCA has always dumped dead bodies at landfills except for some branches in the lower mainland that have what the SPCA calls "burners".

This really bothers me as it seems so heartless and what about all the euthanyl that is added to the environment?

Does AAS have any information about this practice and where can I write to to complain? Thank you for your help. Your web site is such a good source of information.

Little bodies, betrayed in life and treated like garbage in death
The SPCA saves a lot of money by dumping rather than cremating because of the very substantial "bulk" savings
Society makes a distinction between commerce and welfare
At last the SPCA has provided the very public forum of the Supreme Court to establish what animal welfare is and isn't
This is NOT animal welfare: Ask the SPCA why it is still keeping dogs in "Alcatrazes for animals" *PIC*
Here is what to do and where to write
The Province - Such a practice is dangerous, says Dr. John Twidale of the B.C. Veterinary Medical Association
Please bring this to the attention of the Hon Bill Barisoff, The Minister of Water, Land and Air Protection, when you write your letter
The Victoria SPCA has always sent the animals it kills to the landfill
When I worked at the Saltspring SPCA 4 years ago
Cremation- Parksville and area.
I can assure you that landfill leachate contains much worse than a bit of Euthanyl
