ITEMS ARISING FROM IN-CAMERA MEETING OF OCTOBER 18, 2004

Council endorsed the following motion:

Animal Control, Regulation and Shelter Services – Contract Award
A. That a contract be awarded to the Delta Humane Society for a period of up to three (3) years based on three one (1) year contracts with a mutually agreeable 60 day notice by both parties for extension.

B. That the contract with the Delta Humane Society be based on a direct fee paid by Delta of $225,000 per year plus 100% of dog licence revenues sold directly by Delta Humane Society; plus 75% of revenue for dog licences sold by The Corporation of Delta (estimated at $160,000/annum).

C. That a staff member of The Corporation of Delta attend all open, closed and executive meetings of the Board of Directors for the Delta Humane Society for the total term of the contract.

D. That Councillor Huntington be appointed to serve as the Council liaison to the Delta Humane Society
