BCTV and the Vancouver Aquarium are also buddies, as shown by the recent coverage of Springer, the orphaned orca. BCTV has been giving the Aquarium so much air time it is basically free advertising! Please, if anyone has a minute, write a letter to BCTV and ask them to stop this nonsense! Sure, the Aquarium pitched in to help the relocation of Springer, but they are not the only ones who did. Now, BCTV is making pleas on behalf of the Aquarium for money. Tonight, with the coverage of the newborn beluga that will remain in the concrete prison for it's whole life, they finally gave a few seconds of air time to a spokesperson from No Whales in Captivity, but the rest of the story was handed over to the Aquarium on a silver platter. Whatever happened to non-biased reporting! I'm afraid it doesn't happen at BCTV.
