No real animal wefare organization would permit any of its employees or volunteers to advise that a dog can or should be left outside unattended. Dogs are not livestock, they were bred for companionship, and all real animal welfarists know that. The SPCA permits its dogs to be sold and treated like livestock.

Nor is this human welfare. Yard dogs can become highly dangerous. The proof and expert opinion is clear about that. Yet the SPCA continues to promote the cruelty and the danger of keeping dogs in yards.

In many municipalities throughout BC, the SPCA is the paid agency that kills dangerous dogs.

We don't suggest that the SPCA deliberately promotes keeping dogs in yards so that it can be paid to kill them. What we do suggest, is that because the SPCA is doing nothing about the legality of keeping dogs in yards, and promotes the keeping of dogs in yards, that the SPCA is behaving unethically.
