This shows how little the SPCA knows!!!

This shows how little the SPCA knows!!! How infuriating. First, this dog is not good with kids if he does not want to relinquish his toys or food. It could be a death sentence for this dog if he is sold to a family with children who have no idea about food or object guarding. These dogs can live just fine in a household with older children and adults.

Next, how much was Blackjack left alone? If a dog is left outside for long periods of time (personally, my dogs are never left alone in the yard unattended for more than about 15 minutes...dogs are pack, social animals who are WTIH me at all times except for the times when they want to go outside to pee). If people leave any dogs outside for long periods of time, they will dig and bark..that is not separation anxiety..it is called being a dog.

This dog probably needs someone who is home a lot and someone willing to really excercise such an active and intelligent breed. That is all...NO crate, no outdoor dog run. That will continue to make the problem worse.

I always think all I know is really the basics of dog care, and the SPCA, who works a lot more with dogs than I do, can not figure all this out.

Without figuring what this dog needs....adults only or older children only home, someone around a lot, someone willing to excercise this dog and keep it with them as much as possible this dog is doomed to be in the wrong home, and many dogs end up paying with their lives for the ignorance of the SPCA....

Not only is selling outdoor dogs unfair to the dogs, it is unfair to neighbours who must listen to the pitiful cries of these lonely dogs day in and day out.

Blackjack's bio is particularly revealing of how the SPCA sells dogs, NOT adopts
No real animal wefare organization would permit any of its employees or volunteers to advise that a dog can or should be left outside unattended
