But what if the system is corrupt?

I wish I could cut the BC SPCA some slack, but then I get emails like this one, from a former Kamloops SPCA volunteer, who now volunteers at 100 Mile House SPCA, about the mysterious election of Bonnie Bischoff (ex-Kamloops SPCA employee who endorsed the killing of innocent little puppy mill dogs for being fearful) to the provincial board, when there seems to be no record of a vote ever being cast:

"We even think (but can't prove) that there was some hanky-panky involved, since 100 Mile had received some information asking for input on the choice of a new director weeks earlier - Richard Carlson and Jenni (was Connors) were on the list, but NOT Bonnie!
Then, all of a sudden, 100 Mile got a silly, cutesy e-mail from Bonnie, announcing she was the new director - without ANYBODY in the 100 Mile SPCA having had a chance at any input!
I later found out that my good friend, Shirl Rear, still a volunteer you may know with Kamloops), and the only PAID-UP BCSPCA member that I actually know, had NEVER been notified of any upcoming election for directors, or been given a chance to vote before the new Board was announced at the annual general meeting.
Shirl feels like you and I do about both Bonnie and Jennifer Gore, and when she asked Jennifer why she had not had the chance to vote, Jennifer said she couldn't understand it, since notices had been sent to all members!
Des Caldwell and Deb Marshall told me that they, too, had no inkling before Bonnie's "win" was announced, but since staff can't be members, Jennifer could, I suppose, argue that they did not have to be notified. You might want to check with other paid-up members that you know to see if they had the chance to vote. "

I fear that the BC SPCA , in its current form, may already be too corrupt to reform itself. A good and thorough housecleaning may be the only start to rebuilding it.

Shame on the System, shame on us...
Anger is a waste of energy: I only ever wanted the corruption to end: AAS successes *LINK*
If the members do actually want change then they CAN make it happen through the existing system!
But what if the system is corrupt?
