Shelby: This sure as hell isn't animal welfare! *PIC*

Shelby was a quick sale.
Unfortunately for Shelby that is not what she needed.
Shelby was sold at 8 weeks of age by the Victoria branch of the BC SPCA. The people that purchased her recently had a baby and Shelby now had to go.
The owners approached a rescue/rehab in Victoria and were happy to dump their dog until they heard "rehabilitation fee" to house, rehabilitate, train and rehome Shelby when she was ready.
Even though the Victoria Branch of the BC SPCA knew that Shelby had "issues" Shelby was accepted for surrender and immediately placed available for sale for the second time.
Shelby didn't get a Valentine this year, nope Shelby got a quick sale without any rehabilitation or even sitting in the Victoria SPCA long enough for her to have a bio on the "Adoption Page".
Is this Animal Welfare?
Not in my version of the understanding of the words but the Victoria SPCA has another few bucks in their till and Shelby is on to another place to live...hopefully for longer and happier than the last time.

Her owner that dumped her at the Victoria SPCA either Friday the 11th or Saturday the 12th had this to say about her:
We got Shelby from the SPCA at 8 weeks old, we were told she was a Rottweiler X, not a border collie X. She is spayed and crate trained. Shelby has not chewed in the past, but she has begun to as we are unable to give her enough attention. Her main fault is that she jumps up on anyone who comes to the house and will not settle down the entire time they are here (even if it is for a week). We are unable to put her in the yard to play, even for a short time, as all she does is scratch at the door to come back in. She wants to be with us constantly and this is impossible for us as we have a new baby. She chases and lunges at our two cats to play with them, we have tried from the time we got her to stop her from doing this but it has not worked. Shelby is not aggressive in any way but her excitement and jumping up makes her dangerous to small children. She has jumped on small children and hurt them as she is 55 pounds and much larger than them, again, this is just because she wants to play with them. Shelby does not seem to understand that she must be gentle around our baby and still tries to put her feet near her and jump up. Right from the time we got Shelby she had separation anxiety and would cry and whine when left alone. She is okay with us now as she goes in her crate when we are away and at night. We think the anxiety is the main reason she wants to be with us all the time. We cannot both be in our daughter's room, which has a baby gate to keep her out, without Shelby crying and barking at us. Shelby loves people and other dogs, we made sure she was well socialized with other dogs.

How bloody dare the SPCA say it does animal welfare!
This infuriates me
