Effective and Compassionate Approach to Dealing with Feral Cats

Hello Norma:

I suggest you refer your friend to the website for Alley Cat Allies for comprehensive information regarding feral cats. http://www.alleycat.org/visitor.html#2 . Many of her questions can be answered by perusing the information contained on that site.

There are numerous private rescue organizations in British Columbia who have adopted the effective and compassionate practice of Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR). Pacific Animal Foundation is one of those groups and we have had wonderful success in humanely reducing the feral cat population in North Vancouver through TNR.

We strongly believe the British Columbia SPCA should implement a Feral Cat Assistance Program like the successful program run by the San Francisco SPCA. Here is the link for further information on that program: http://www.sfspca.org/feral/index.shtml
