Only a nincompoop would believe that the SPCA does not kill

Being the proud shelterer of 300 cats and most of them
feral cats, I would like to say that only a
nincompoop would believe that the SPCA does not
kill. Isn't this one reason why they are losing
their contracts everywhere?

I run a real no-kill shelter.
No, we don't kill ferals, no, we don't
kill FIV/FELV, no, we don't kill diabetic, thyroid
or cats that have been abused, neglected or run
over by cars. We hock everything we own and pay
the bills. I shelter MANY SPCA cats that were
going to be killed for any old reason. Maybe I don't understand....
or, maybe I really do understand the concept of "No Kill"?

As far as feral cats go? Gee,
do you think maybe that
those responsible two legged critters created
this mess?

"The kindest thing is to kill them"
How many times have I heard that from people
who have no experience, no idea what they are talking about,
and obviously...no compassion.

True cat rescuers should ban together
and put together another 'feral farm'. It can
be done. They have as much right to live as you
or me, maybe more, because of our ignorance they
have no place to go. It is up to us in rescue,
who run 'real' no kill shelters, to do something
for these feral cats. Killing is not an option
if you really are no-kill. Duh!
