Mr Takhar was the manager of the Vancouver SPCA when it planned to kill Monty. When Mr Takhar says "The SPCA has come a long way from then" , we have to ask, a long way to where?
Almost a year after the atrocities at the Burnaby SPCA, the Vancouver SPCA, under Mr Takhar, would kill an "easy" dog like Monty. If the SPCA can't even cope with 12 lb dogs, it is worse than useless.
We question the "progams" Mr Takhar boasts of. A person whose only experience is with handling snakes was told to "assess" Monty.
Can Mr Takhar explain why Sima, who had offers of excellent rehabilitative foster homes, was killed?
Can Mr Takhar explain why offers of homes for other dogs from other reputable breed rescue societies, have been ignored?
We welcome Mr Takhar to answer these questions.
