We're going to build a state-of-the-art "shelter" in Surrey - we promise!

The BC SPCA is committed to a long-term future in Surrey. Our hope is to build a new animal center in the community within the next few years. To do so, however, it is essential that we maintain our current presence. Your support for this initiative will help secure this future.

Tell that to the Mayors and Councillors of the Tri-Cities who were promised a new "shelter" in Pitt Meadows if only they would keep contracting with the SPCA. Tell that to the animal lovers of Penticton, and of Nanaimo. And where are the millions raised for those new "shelters?"

No shame! Who is it the SPCA is describing here?
Remember the Surrey Six? Is this the kind of poundkeeper the City of Surrey wants to renew its contract with?
