The dog area is a large dark room sectioned off into kennels. The only windows are tiny and high up the walls. The floor is concrete with a drain in the centre. There is no access from the kennels to the outdoors at all. For the dogs to go outside, they have to be taken out to a fenced area by a volunteer/staff. It is dismal and very depressing.
