Linda Douglas paid over $5500 to defend herself. As of April, 2003, the SPCA was demanding in court, the sum of $18,907.74. That suit is hanging over Douglas's and Hill's heads, as are the criminal actions, because the Crown, possibly at the SPCA's urging, did not drop the ludicrous charges, but only stayed them. That is further intimidation in our opinion.
The SPCA took $20,000 worth of healthy animals from Douglas and Hill and sold them.
The SPCA seems to be angling for a second shot at Douglas and Hill, This March another of Craig Daniell's cops, Kent Kokoska, came snooping around saying that he'd received a complaint that there was a goose tethered on the property. Jim Hill ordered him off the property.
