Animal Advocates Watchdog

I side with Sandra. The SPCA in Fayetteville, NC aired an hour of euthanasia during the supper hour about 8 years ago. For several months spay-neuter clinics worked at full capacity, and adoptions increased exponentially. The public needs to see what really happens to so many animals - whether animal experimentation, euthanasia, dog-assisted coyote hunting - these types of images force people to act on behalf of animals.

Dog-assisted coyote hunting in Alberta has been banned because of public outrage at the horrific images that were shown on a news-special that was initially aired here in Alberta on CFRN News and made it to The National a few days later.

Nopuppymillscanada's website sprang up in response to the National's documentary on puppymills in Quebec - the public was outraged, and we are now beginning to see stirrings of public support to increase animal cruelty laws in Canada ...

I believe we need to show the public more instead of less - if people really knew what happened behind the scenes of the big tent ... if they saw on prime-time news the suffering animals endured before they ended up on plates ... changes would occur more quickly.

These are just my personal opinions ... the more I see the more I am determined to change things for the better ...
