Esmeralda was found feebly crying for
help with all the will to live that she had left by a kindly cat-lover
who followed her weakening cries through the tall grasses at the side of
the highway. That is probably where Esmeralda was dropped by her
"family" from their car and she was too afraid to leave. She was
emaciated and dehydrated and her claws were almost growing into her
pads. The kindly cat-lover, like so many cat-lovers, already had many
cats and couldn't keep one more, but nevertheless she rushed Esmeralda
to her vet and then asked AAS if we could pay the bill. We said
Yes, of course; that is what we do when we have the funds to say yes.
Esmeralda is recovering nicely and will do even better in a home where all her needs are lovingly taken care of for the rest of her life. Apply here to adopt Esmeralda.
