Thank God we are making a stand...someone has to...

The SPCA is back tracking due to extreme attention brought on by the foster families..Under what law do these dog have to be returned..

Amy, who is a professional dog grommer at a very reputable kennel here on the Sunshine Coast also fostered a dog. When she phoned Ms. Drever yesterday she was barked at by Ms. Drever and then hung up on. Amy was in absolute shock by the treatment she recieved and is just a sweet young lady trying to save 10 dogs from desperation.

The shape of the dogs is not being over blown...they were in rough shape. Were, they at death door?..no... but were they in the shape a caring dog owner would have them in?...no

These dogs are breeding machines for the HOBBY FARM nothing more...if the SPCA is as concerned with over population as we have all been led to believe, then why did they not sterilize the dogs before the return or force the breeder to sterilize.

Why is it when some one abuses animals or small children, the people in the positon of caring for the welfare of the helpless are always away at the time of the abuse and "someone else was looking after them"

I would bet anything these dogs were in crates for a long...long time.

I am not a person who has made a fuss about anything in my life...this has upset me so much...I am bringing attention to me, my family, my business that may end up being negative. But I do not care I am so upset by these helpless dogs being returned to the breeder...I have learned in the last 24 hours that this is not an isolated case...Thank God we are making a stand...someone has to...

The point at issue is: Could returning animals make it doubtful a court would prohibit ownership?
Can the SPCA expect Crown to accept this case now that the SPCA has said the animals never were in that bad physical condition?

Bottom line is - the SPCA chose not to use the law and return the dogs. Why?
