VANCOUVER - The teenage girl whose face and head were badly mauled in a dog attack just before Christmas last year, is suing the owner and keepers of the two dogs.

Fifteen-year-old Shenica White was attacked near her East Vancouver home by two mastiff-Rotweillers crosses, as she walked home from a party.

Her lawyer, Dale Pope, has filed a statement of claim in B.C. Supreme Court, claiming Shenica's injuries caused her emotional trauma, headaches and nausea.

The lawsuit seeks damages for continued pain and suffering, loss of enjoyment of life and loss of earning capacity because of disfigurement.

Pope has not attached a dollar figure to the damages being sought from the dogs' owner Calvin Chow of Surrey, and the dogs' keepers Diane and Jackie Chow.

No criminal charges were laid in the attack.
