It's the BC SPCA's lack of accountability, transparency and democracy that has put the society in this financial mess! As we've all said before, honesty is the best policy. The BC SPCA is foundering. Denying the fact is not going to help the animals. Being honest, admitting mistakes, apologizing to members, donors and volunteers might help. Animal lovers want to believe in the BC SPCA but the BC SPCA continues desperately to blame everyone and everything but its own administrators and board members for its current problems. Until the BC SPCA publicly acknowledges its own mistakes it has no hope of regaining public respect and credibility.
