A longtime Delta SPCA volunteer also told us that between March and April 2004, volunteers managed to raise $6,000 that was earmarked specifically for the Delta branch to help to pay its vet bills. But two vets that the Delta SPCA used weren't being paid, and brought this to the volunteer's attention. A meeting was held on Thursday June 10th, attended by Craig Daniell, Michelle Rodgers, the two vets, and some staff and volunteers. According to our contact, Craig Daniell was unable to explain what had become of the $6,000. The next day Delta branch switched to a different vet.

The volunteer who told us this is very upset that the Delta SPCA's vet bills are not being paid despite the fact that volunteers had worked so hard to fundraise $6,000.

We would all like to know what really does happen to branch funds after they are sucked into the vortex at head office.
