"Chortyk insisted Cheech is not an adoptable dog and that keeping him in a small pen at the shelter for the rest of his days would be "a fate worse than death."
Once again Chortyk misleads the media. She makes it sound as if death or an SPCA prison are the only options for Cheech. I have repeatedly heard the SPCA boasting about how they are working with rescues. So when a rescue offers to foster Cheech and they ignore that offer and decide to kill him, is that working with rescue?
Kind of like the SPCA claiming to be "building relationships with first nations" and then refusing a native family help for their dog, and then charging them with cruelty for not getting any help for their dog.
Does the SPCA in fact do ANYTHING it claims?
It appears not.
