The SPCA's idea of p.r. is to lie faster. AAS has a long, long list of p.r. lies that we will publish. Under pressure the list expands exponentially.

Around the Cheech incident alone:

SPCA Spinmistress, L. Chortyk has said:

1) That Cheech was taken to the SPCA in February (in a press release yesterday) making it sound like the caring SPCA gave Cheech plenty of time.

Staff and the Delta SPCA manager told us Cheech arrived in April making it plain that Cheech had been given very little time.

2) That four SPCA assessors deemed Cheech too vicious and unpredictable, especially toward men, and recommended he be put down.

She does not say that the first assessment, when Cheech would have been most stressed, put Cheech in the "yellow zone" meaning that he was adoptable with a little time and work. Chortyk does not say that at least one of the assessors said that Cheech has some problems but needed work not euthanasia, but that the decision was up to the manager. Chortyk does not say that the manager ordered Cheech killed after he growled at her after she roughly yanked him by the collar.

3) That the society has a moral and legal duty to protect the public from harmful animals.

She does not say that the Society sells highly dangerous dogs all the time, and we have massive proof of this.

A dozen long-time volunteers, real dog experts who do real dog life-saving, and Amanda Muir and other SPCA staff all said that Cheech was a submissive, affectionate dog. CTV footage showed exactly that.
