Raise and kill your own meat to feed your companion animals, don't contribute to the kill line. You can buy your free range meat -- they all walk the same kill line. Thus the hypocrisy. I bet if all had to do this most wouldn't keep a companion animal. I bet most meat eaters wouldn't eat meat anymore if they had to kill, butcher and package their own meals they way life used to be.
