I have changed slowly over the years, but more in the past few years...I only eat organic free range eggs, no cage chickens. I also switched to organic milk a couple of years ago and cant bear the other stuff. I still like my cheese...
I haven't eaten veal duck or lamb for close to 20 years, never really wanted to either... I'm trying to get my husband to cut out red meat, beef and I think he is coming around.
This year I have been trying to eat more meatless meals, basically all I eat these days is free range chicken.
I still like the occasional organic turkey once or twice a year have bacon about the same, very rarely, but don't eat ham or pork.
It probably doesn't sound like much to a vegan, and I doubt I would ever go vegan, but I would love to become less and less of a meat eater over the years. I do object to the unnecessary cruelty of the meat industry, and don't see why it has to be so inhumane. I watched a show on egg production on the CBC and that was enough to make me go free range organic and I never turned back.
