I became a vegetarian 3 years ago because I was introduced to PETA by my 14 yr. old niece at the time, and one only needs to log on to their website and view their videos in the slaughter houses to change one's views on eating meat! That did it for me as it was truly disgusting to see how these animals suffer just to put a slab of meat on our plate, and the irony of it all is that we don't need meat to survive as we were all put on this earth to eat mother earth not our furry friends, and the only one that promotes that theory are the people who want you to buy their products.
I am much healthier now (mentally and physically) on becoming a vegetarian, and can proudly say that I am part of the solution not the problem because if we all just continue to buy the products they will continue to slaughter and sell (as your article clearly states), and hopefully I have saved at least one animal's life by not contributing!
