I don't eat any kind of meat, I use Almond Breeze in my hot drinks instead of milk (the most palatable milk substitute I've found), and I buy only organic free-run eggs. I'm not vegan and I admire people who are, because cutting all animal products out of our lives in this society is not easy. (Read any label and you're likely to find animal products listed in some form.) I love to eat but I don't miss meat at all. Once I knew the story of how it got to my plate, I lost any taste for it. I haven't eaten meat for many years now. As someone else remarked recently, I find I'm no longer regarded as an 'oddball' for refusing meat. There are more vegetarians these days and in response, there are more vegetarian options in supermarkets and in restaurants.
