SPCA Doublespeak

Of course the Nanaimo SPCA sells dogs, in spite of its employee's claims. The selling price for dogs is listed on their website: "Large Breed $135.00 ~ Small Breed $200.00 & up".

And the BCSPCA kills dogs when they run low on space. We all know it, Craig Daniell admits it. In the press release to launch the Pet Express van, Daniell is quoted as saying "We believe Pet Express will save hundreds, possibly thousands of animal lives each year".

Every dog imported into the province takes space from a dog already here. Three dogs would have been killed in Mississippi, now three dogs will be killed in BC. Net lives saved: zero.

Does the BCSPCA condone importing dogs from out-of-province?

Was Nanaimo SPCA employee Carolyn charged a surrender fee?

Will Carolyn be reprimanded for her poor judgment in accepting responsibility for dogs that she can't care for?

Contrast these two mandates or missions: Mex-Can Rescue and the BC SPCA
Would you put a stop to this at any point?
