Poor Copper.
Copper is awaiting adoption from the Abbotsford SPCA with a write-up that would turn just about everyone I know of off
The big plus for this girl is she is crate-trained so she can spend a long day at home locked up in a crate.
(I am amazed an animal welfare organization would even suggest that is acceptable)
Copper needs someone patient to work with her and help her overcome her fear of car rides.
This is quite possible if someone just takes the time to do it and putting down a washable quilt or whatever in a vehicle is not that difficult or taking Copper for a car ride just after she poops might even work. Making sure the experience is fun and enjoyable for Copper.
Dogs that end up in facilities often have issues, and that is what rehab is supposed to be for.
Rather than condemn the dog perhaps the SPCA could instead look at helping the dog overcome her insecurities.
Those of us in rescue do it every day.
