While Big Heart Rescue will not partner with the SPCA our organization does work with breed specific rescue groups that have supported BHR and that have been supported by BHR.

BHR is a "mutt rescue" from pitties to puppies, from assisting seniors to the medically fragile, from providing hospice care to extensive rehabilitation training and all this is done through networking, blood, sweat and tears.

And though BHR is a "mutt rescue" this organizations work is also coupled with seeking assistance from breed specific rescue when needed and hoping that our pleas for assistance are heard. In some situations breed specific rescues have donated time, money and personal energy into helping one of their breeds, or by helping BHR with one of the "mutts" in care under this organizations wings. And yes, in some cases, breed specific rescue did not or could not or would not help, but to paint all breed specific rescue with one brush is far too great a generalization.
