Dear Mr. Oppal,

I am writing with respect to the BC SPCA and it's legal wranglings with The Animal Advocates Society.

Instead of spending funds, received by donations from trusting citizens, on their mandate of helping needy and abused animals, the BC SPCA is wasting thousands of dollars trying to supress the Animal Advocates organization by constantly delaying the case going to court (therefore draining resources and effort from the financially weeker party).

I am writing to request that the provincial government reinstate anti-SLAPP legislation in B.C. I truly believe that no one is safe from the power and money of large corporations or organizations (such as the BC SPCA) without legislation to protect freedom of speech and truth.

I know you are a man of utmost integrity and that you can be relied upon to follow the right and honourable path in this regard.
