To Hon. Wally Oppal

I am writing asking you to reinstate anti-SLAPP legislation that your government threw out in 2001. Often small groups are sued by much bigger groups when they are criticized. Freedom of speech is so important in a civilized society and it does such a diservice to not have this legislation in place. I am currently being sued by the spca after years of volunteering and vocalizing some of my concerns over how the animals are being treated as well as how the organization is run. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, the spca wants to silence me. The money being spent in lawyer's fees could save thousands of animals. Please consider reinstating this anti-SLAPP law.
