Audrey Hill and the Powell River branch of the SPCA do great work with no paid staff (Audrey is the volunteer manager). So with paid staff and no facility they do work that the other branches claim they can't do.

Yet, where I live, where there is a small SPCA cat and rabbit facility only, and many volunteer cleaners, etc - they pay a staff person.

Good for Powell River - they care about the animals.
