The RCMP can also enforce the PCA Act (though one RCMP officer told AAS that they resent this as they feel that they have enough to do with enforcing laws against human law-breakers).
Some compassionate RCMP officers work with rescue groups getting dogs and cats out of terrible conditions on reserves. Big Heart Rescue and Friends of the Animals are two societies who have this working relationship with RCMP on reserves that is doing so much good for the animals in BC that suffer so much horrendous cruelty.
