Recently an SPCA shelter had an outbreak of feline disemper in the kitten room. After it was discovered, the exposed kittens were fostered out to wonderful, unsuspecting foster homes. The SPCA did not warn these foster homes or even mention feline distemper to them.

Two foster homes I know of were shocked to discover how very sick their kittens were after the approximate week incubation time. At this time, when it was too late for some of the kittens, feline distemper was finally mentioned.

These foster homes had not taken extra precautions with their animals or their other fosters because they hadn't been warned. One foster home had her other set of kittens get feline distemper too.

Some died.

The BCSPCA, when it asks people to foster asks the hopeful-to-be-chosen fosters many questions but when they send out kittens to be fostered they are dishonest by withholding necessary information.

How dare they spread disease without caring?

How dare the BCSPCA kill by being silent?
