Professor Stanley Coren just blew a big hole in the SPCA's dog temperament test

On CFAX radio Coren said that no test held in a strange place by strangers can guarantee to prove with certainty the temperament of a dog; that timid dogs may bite in these circumstances when they never will any other place, and that aggressive dogs may be so intimidated in a kennel that they will not bite in a test but might bite later. "You don't get normal behaviour, you get all the wrong readings", Coren said.
