Animal Advocates Watchdog

Perhaps publicizing this cat will get it the care it needs and a home. I hope so.

From the Victoria SPCA website, updated Nov.7, 2004.

Breed: DMH Calico
Age: 4 yr
Arrival date: Aug 28 2004
Description: Apparently I have had a "hard life", but I don't know any different! My tooth was bothering me, but my owners couldn't afford to fix it, so I found myself here, looking for someone who can help me out with my tooth problem. My eye may look a bit funny and my breathing may sound odd, but that's because I was hit by a car a few years ago and luckily came out ok! Phew! But that's an event I never want to repeat, so if you adopt my cuddly self, please keep me safe and warm by your bed.

Any real animal welfare Society would have fixed the poor cat before advertising her for adoption. This cat arrived at the Victoria SPCA in August and is advertised for sale as is. I personally feel this is incredibly unfair to the animal and to the owners, who expected the SPCA to do right by their cat. Othewise, why would they not have kept it in its own home rather than in an strange place for months, possibly in a cage suffering cage-stress, surrounded by strange and frigtening cats, and noise, and dogs, and humans?

Re: Quesnel: Bojangles: Spending Priorities???
The SPCA uses the PCA Act to cripple and punish and ruin people who inflict less cruelty on animals than it does, all the time
