Notes: Jabba was surrenderd over to our shelter at the beginning of October. His owner was in no position to own a dog, so unfortunately he ended up being neglected. When he was a puppy he was attacked by his owners other dog, and consequently lost one of his eyes. Because Jabba was neglected, he does have some behavioral issues, and his owner said that he would nip at her kids. We have given Jabba a behavioral evaluation, and he passed with flying colors. He seems to be good with other dogs, in spit of his shady past. We are looking for donations to help get Jabba neutered or transferred to another branch where his chances of adoption will be higher. Comment: To me animal welfare is doing - and then asking for help for the next and the next...Jabba should be on the Pet Express headed to a facility where he will be more easily adopted, but unfortunately it appears he has to wait until some kind samaritan pays his freight.
