This is kind of sad. It points out the lack of imagination at the very top of the BC SPCA
President Mary Lou Troman has used name-calling and the standard SPCA P.R. patter about all the animals the SPCA saves a year, instead of actually rebutting anything AAS and its critics allege. AAS has asked many times for the SPCA to correct any errors of fact in AAS postings, but all it ever does is tell the media that we are factually incorrect. Show us where we are ever factually incorrect in any meaningful way. We show our "evidence" against the SPCA every day on this messageboard. Ms Troman, we invite you to show us your evidence that we are wrong.
And while you're at it, show everyone how many of the 53,000 animals you "helped" you killed.
Where in your letter are the announcements of imaginative solutions to all the problems you profess to deal with? It's true that the way the SPCA used the weaknesses in the PCA Act are pretty darned imaginative, but that is not what we have in mind when we ask for the SPCA's solutions to the greater suffering caused by pet overpopulation, pet exploitation (like that practiced by your business partner, Petcetera), by chained dogs, by venal pounds (yours especially) feral cats, millions of unwanted rabbits, and a host of other issues that not only has the BC SPCA avoided fixing, but has encouraged.
