Critics seem determined to damage the BC SPCA

Re: Rough times for the SPCA, The Daily Special, March 31

After serving in several management capacities with BC SPCA for some 35 years, I retired last December. I am, of course, very aware of Judith Stone and have been reading and listening to her nasty, almost all unproven allegations for too long. She seems determined to damage the BC SPCA at every opportunity for reasons known only to herself. The BC SPCA is an animal welfare organization. Sadly, but realistically, that means that some animals will be euthanized -- often to avoid future animal welfare concerns.

Stone is very loud minority and the BC SPCA is doing the best it can given the circumstances. The volunteers and staff who work so hard to try to improve the lives of animals are to be commended, in these difficult times for BC SPCA and all non-profit organizations.

BC SPCA President of the Board, does damage control *LINK*
This is kind of sad. It points out the lack of imagination at the very top of the BC SPCA

Let me point out some of your "inaccurate" statements Ms Troman
The BC SPCA has no real answer to its critics
Great PR job to promote the SPCA
to be fair....
Keeping company with Brian Nelson
Ahhh..but what Brian Nelson has on the SPCA could finish it completely
Ex-Vernon SPCA Director asks the President for some straight answers

Just throwing out an idea for you and the Board to toss around Mary Lou...
