Would anyone like to look this over and tell us your opinion? Is it just more misinformation on the care and behaviour of dogs that is so rampant, especially among vets, most of whom seem to know zero about dogs' behaviour. They are trained to recognize and treat the symptoms of physical disease, but usually only own one purebred themselves. You really can't learn anything accurate about "dogs" until they've taken in or worked with many adult dogs of many different and mixed breeds and found that there is the same wide variety of personalities and behaviours in dogs as there is in humans.

Our experinece has been that vets tell their clients the most uneducated things about dogs' behaviour. The most common: you can't put two male dogs together; you can't put two female dogs together; you can't put a male and female dog together. Anyone who's done multi-dog rescue for very long, figures out that the sex has nothing to do with temperament or friendliness in dogs, and a houseful of males are as likely to be happy together (or crabby together) as a houseful of females, or a houseful of both sexes. But we have heard this from many vets for so many years and they don't seem to be cluing in. The advice that many give their clients that makes us the maddest is that a dog should be put down for what MAY be "dangerous" behaviours (nipping mostly).
