There is a great disparity between what front line staff make. Some shelter staff make just above minimum wage while others doing the same job make around $20/hour.

Sharing of the wealth so that animals received equal access to services and care was one of the issues that convinced some of the smaller branches to vote for becoming one organization. Pay equity was another. Unfortunately, HO did not (and still do not) have their "employee policies/pay scales" established prior to the change.

As it stands now I understand that the BOD's is currently "reviewing" the issue. It is almost a year since the change and as some of you are aware HO staff has increased from 10 to 30+, while shelters are struggling with tripled and quadrupled workload and no help from HO.
