Big Heart Rescue has been contacted by a vet assistant practicum student who had a placement at the Surrey SPCA. This young woman was very distressed to be asked by Surrey staff to euthanize a dog. She refused and continued her practicum in a veterinarian's office.

Not only did this request place the student in a very difficult position, it is unacceptable that a the SPCA would even approach this issue with her.
