Contact Mr Houle or his boss Simon Trevelyan

60% of the donations the SPCA receives come from bequests in wills, so this program is critical to the SPCA's financial recovery and continued financial health. AAS would be all for it, if only it weren't so fraudulent from top to bottom, and now including its P.R. fraud. And that's another issue - all the SPCA's P.R. fraud.

The Senior Planned Giving Officer is John Houle. In May, Mr Houle's wife wrote an article in Senior's Living magazine in which she urged wealthy Victoria seniors (like the one that recently left an almost-one million dollar bonanza to the Victoria SPCA which pulled the BC SPCA back from the brink of ruin) to leave their money to the SPCA. She pretended she had never met her husband before.

Legal steps are being contemplated by some Eminent Victorians who are "not amused".

You should be able to be put in contact with Mr Houle by phoning the Victoria SPCA at (250) 388-7722 or email at victoria-spca@shaw.ca.

Apparently Mr Houle is very prompt to reply if he thinks you are going to sign up. If you get no answers, you could try his boss, PROVINCIAL MANAGER of PLANNED GIVING, Simon Trevelyan,
Phone: (604) 681-7271 (or 1-800-665-1868), extension 323
Direct Line: (604) 647-1323
Mobile: (604) 861-8626
Email: strevelyan@spca.bc.ca

But the experience of anyone asking hard questions is that no one from the SPCA answers at all. That was my own personal experience with the President, Mary Lou Troman. She won't answer any of our emails unless they are about making a donation and then she is very prompt indeed! So ignoring awkard questions and leaping on offers of donations must be policy since that is what the president does.

This is fraud on two counts: the article is fraudulent and the Plan is fraudulent *LINK*
If you pay for the Pet Survivor Program, is your dog exempt from the SPCA's DTA4 testing?
SPCA record keeping would certainly need to improve.
The fostering program is another fraud

The level of care that they promise if you leave them the cash is only what should be provided without cost as part of their mandate
