I'm absolutely appalled at how they are blackmailing LOL's. The implication is that they will only look after old Fluffy after you kick off if you leave them $25,000 - $75,000 as a bequest. The point everybody is still missing is that the level of care that they promise if you leave them the cash (and what we all know is higly unlikely to actually be provided) is only what should be provided without cost as part of their mandate -- this is what they get donations to do in the first place! I do a little planned giving work as part of my work as a fund-raiser and I think this whole "carrot and stick" is unethical.
