You can currently find information about the new spay/neuter clinic in Prince George. In fact this is right off the BCSPCA website:

Prince George and surrounding First Nations Communities have chronic pet over-population problems.
Of the 4,490 animals that were taken into the shelter in 2004, fifty-one percent (2,285) had to be euthanized due to deterioration in their physical and/or psychological health that was directly attributable to the overcrowded conditions. The large number of animals at the shelter not only endangers the welfare of the animals, but also places a huge financial burden on the Society as well the community at large.
In Prince George, a homeless pet dies every 4 hours. Help us prevent this daily tragedy.

"Help us spay and neuter 2,000 homeless animals in Prince George each year, so the community can reach zero euthanasia of adoptable animals by 2010"
Clearly healthy adoptable animals are being euthanized right now in British Columbia.
