Kamloops SPCA to kill 60 cats

4:00 pm news story on Kamloops' Radio NL:

Jennifer Gore, Branch Manager of the Kamloops SPCA, was interviewed and stated that 60 cats will be euthanized due to yet another outbreak of "feline distemper". This is the 3rd outbreak at the Kamloops shelter this year.

The shelter will be closed until Monday for sanitizing and the public is asked to phone the shelter at 376-7722 for "solutions to their pet problems".

Jennifer Gore also indicates vaccinations and spay/neuter as a preventative measure to feline distemper.

A more fitting slogan could read "easy and effortless disposal"

It seems to me that shelters which safeguard health should be one of the highest priorities
