An animal welfare organization? I don't see how they have the gall to use that term

This is so sad - this SPCA condoned - no - SPCA inflicted - pain. Just an ugly twist on the factory-farmed weiners so often sold at their fund raisers.

An animal welfare organization? I don't see how they have the gall to use that term.

So often I see that we use more and more kinder language re animals other than humans, and sometimes the SPCA seems to be catching on by changing their terminology, but this crab fund - raiser shows me once again that the SPCA still hasn't caught on to the meaning of the words.
How can an entity as large as the SPCA be educated?

Certainly, the SPCA is not an animal rights organization - they'll say so themselves, but how is torturing crabs the action of an "animal welfare" group? Certainly not the welfare of the poor crabs.
